SJA CYO CLUB RULES
Our SJA CYO Board has implemented mandatory prayer to be said at the beginning or end of practices. This can be a coach lead prayer, player lead prayer, scripture reading, etc... or something as simple as the recitation of the “Our Father” or “Hail Mary” by the team.

HOLY DAYS OF OBLIGATION
(Holy Thursday and Good Friday):
There will be no practices or games scheduled after 5:00PM on Holy Days of Obligation, Holy Thursday and Good Friday. This policy is for ALL SJA CYO on and off the school campus.

GUEST COACHES:
We welcome guest coaches. If you would like to have a guest coach at your practice, someone who is not registered as a CYO coach, it is required that the Athletic Director be contacted 24 hours in advance. The A.D. will inform the CYO office downtown of this guest.
When the guest coach is at the practice one or both of the CYO registered coaches MUST also be in attendance.
Scholarship Policy
St John the Apostle CYO Scholarship Information
The St John the Apostle CYO Board, at its discretion, awards athletic scholarships to a limited number of participants, for each sports season. It is the desire of the board that all who wish to participate are given the opportunity. However, scholarship funding is limited.
As a guideline, the board attempts to make available sports scholarships to up to 5% of the total number of participants registered to a given sports team. Where 5% is less than one, we attempt to make one available.
Scholarship requests are reviewed by the CYO board to determine the specific needs of the applicant. Requests are then voted on by the board to determine who will be awarded a scholarship.
Scholarship Request Forms must be completed and submitted two weeks prior to the beginning of the specific sports season to be considered. To download the form, click on the "CYO forms" link to your left.
St John the Apostle CYO - NSF Policy
The St John the Apostle CYO Board has adopted the following policy relating to checks that are returned due to Non Sufficient Funds.
Should a check be returned due to NSF, another check may be written to cover the amount of the registration fees, plus all bank charges related to the NSF check.
Checks that are returned a second time due to NSF will require payment in the form of a money order. The amount of the money order should cover the registration fee(s) and the bank charges resulting from the NSF check.
Failure to pay in full prior to the first team competition will disqualify the participant, until which time the funds are collected.
